In 1973, JM Chevalier, in his book “The new Petrol Game” pointed 2000 as the year that the world oil reserves would end. The world would have, then, to prepare itself, to be less dependent of this raw matter. This announcement of the end of petrol not only did not happen, as oil is still the first raw matter and motive of world conflict. The world still goes round the control of the oil graves, price of the oil barrel, etc. The benefits that can be taken from oil are so important and petrol is a matter in such a way vital for the industrial economies that the history of petrol is intimately connected to the political and economical domination of the great powers and the movements of national independence. The appropriation of petrol by the industrialized countries is frequently accompanied by a political action. The great powers aim to place and keep on the producer countries regimes that are tolerant, to whom they give credit and weapons in exchange of their passivity.

Of the several military operations mentioned (operations realized by the USA ), the one I think is the most serious one is Iraq ’s. Once more it has nothing to do with international terrorism. The politic in relation to Iraq is also a kind of continuation, but it can change. You may consider this to be an opportunity to re-establish control over Iraq , which is extremely important. Iraq has the second biggest oil reserves in the world, many of them under explored or not even being explored (Iraq –Noam Chomsky)
France and Russia had, until the beginning of the war, the control of the Iraqi oil … let us remember the position of these countries in relation to this supposed war against terrorism … What other stories tells petrol? – That I remind you that is an industry of multiple products, for example gasoline, that are part of our everyday life.
