“Pedras” é uma exposição de Carla Cruz, Claudia Lopes, e Miguel Leal no Mosteiro de Arouca e no Museu das Trilobites.

A exposição foi desenvolvida no âmbito do projeto de investigação SHS - Soil health surrounding former mining areas: characterization, risk analysis, and intervention - NORTE-01-0145-FEDER-000056, uma parceria entre a Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto, a Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto (através do i2ADS), Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto e a Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto.

Esse projeto tem como premissa olhar as marcas resultantes das atividades mineiras em três territórios diferentes, no eixo que vai de Valongo a Castelo de Paiva e Arouca. Carla Cruz, Cláudia Lopes e Miguel Leal trabalharam sobretudo em volta do território do Arouca Geopark. Dos resíduos depositados em escombreiras, dos resíduos arquitectónicos, mas também dos resíduos político-poéticos deixados na paisagem e nos corpos, na memória das gentes e da terra, resulta em parte esta exposição.

“Pedras” is an exhibition by Carla Cruz, Claudia Lopes, and Miguel Leal at the Arouca Monastery and at the Trilobites Museum. The exhibition was developed within the scope of the research project SHS - Soil health surrounding former mining areas: characterization, risk analysis, and intervention - NORTE-01-0145-FEDER-000056, a partnership between the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto (through i2ADS), Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto and the Faculty of Letters of the University of Porto.
This project has the premise of looking at the marks resulting from mining activities in three different territories, in the axis that goes from Valongo to Castelo de Paiva and Arouca. Carla Cruz, Cláudia Lopes and Miguel Leal worked mainly around the territory of the Arouca Geopark. This exhibition results from looking at the residues deposited in heaps, the architectural residues, but also from the political-poetic residues left in the landscape and in the bodies and the memories of the people who inhabit this land.
