Regoufe é um conjunto de 32 desenhos sobre fotocópias de fotografias feitas por mim no local, e refletem a atual atmosfera, visível e invisível, do antigo complexo mineiro de uma forma fantasmagórica. São a experiência de entrar e estar nas galerias subterrâneas e também a representação da complexidade sócio-política e cultural da sua história.

O conjunto foi desenvolvido no âmbito do projeto de investigação SHS – Soil health surrounding former mining areas: characterization, risk analysis, and intervention, que teve como premissa olhar as marcas resultantes das atividades mineiras em três territórios diferentes, e especificamente analisar os fatores de risco presentes nestes territórios.

Regoufe is a set of 32 drawings made from photocopies of photographs I took on-site, and they reflect the current atmosphere, visible and invisible, of the former mining complex in a ghostly way. They are the experience of entering and being in the underground galleries and the representation of the socio-political and cultural complexity of its history. The set was developed within the scope of the research project SHS – Soil health surrounding former mining areas: characterization, risk analysis, and intervention, which had as its premise to look at the marks resulting from mining activities in three different territories, and specifically to analyze the risk factors present in these territories
